Pre-post changes in a child-to-parent violence psychoeducational intervention program

Child-to-parent violence assessment has raised much concern in the last decade. The Child-to-Parent Violence Risk (CPVR) tool is a recently developed guide, designed to anticipate recidivism, that can be used during therapy, pretrial assessment, and other circumstances were professionals need support determinate needs risks of cases. This study aimed provide empirical data on use CPVR therapeutic context, describing prevalence risk factors youth attending cognitive-behavioral program, comparing scores pre-post analyzing its ability predict treatment results. A total 118 youths assessed using before treatment, 66 also had post-treatment assessment. Significant changes (reduction) protective (increase) after program participation (due or due professional’s consideration assessment) observed, but was not able success coded by clinicians. Future research should include recidivism confirm real (regardless opinion) predictive validity for recidivism.
